• Shipping Stained Glass

Stained glass is made for shipping. Whether the glass is a flat window or textured lampshade, we can ship it. By using the Sealed Air- Instapack system, the foam bags expand to hug the contour of the glass. The foam system applows for at least 2 inches of protection between the artwork and the box. The use of double boxing the artwork helps to shield the glass from any type of shock or damage. The illustrations below show how the artwork is protected during the shipping process.

• Shipping Neon Art

Neon art is an amazing artform that must be protected. Two methods can be used to ship neon: 1) Dis-assemble the piece and ship each piece of neon seperately and the client must re-assemble the artwork; 2) Create a crate the will surround the neon and not allow any impact to the neon while being shipped.

If I were to dis-assemble the artwork, I would give a detailed discriptions of how you or an electrician can remount and wire the neon art. The pieces would be safer during shipment due to the Instapack system hugging the glass tubes.

The alternative shipping method would be to ship the neon artwork assembled. More care must be taken to transport the artwork. The glass must be secured inside of the inner package to prevent the artwork and box from impacting each other. The outer package will help to prevent shock and impact damage from occuring. The illustrations below show how the artwork is protected during shipping.
